Yamaha VMAX launched in India

Yamaha has launched its third international bike, Yamaha VMAX, in India on Wednesday. Yamaha's YZF R1 and MT-01 is already available in India at seleceted dealerships
in the country. The bike is priced at Rs 20 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This suprebike is equipped with awesome 1679cc engine. In addition to this new bike, the company also rolled out special limited editions of FZ series bikes
that include Yamaha FZ16,Yamaha FZS and Yamaha Fazer.

The new edition of these bikes will be available in only 3000 units. At the launch Yuki Mine Tsuji, Managing Director and CEO, India Yamaha, said that the company is aiming to grab 10 per cent market share in the industry by 2012. Yamaha is also targeting for 30 per cent market share. This awesome powemill produces a maximum power of 200 horses and a maximum torque of 166.8Nm. The brand ambassador of the bike is once again Brdllywood star John Abarham. Indian arm of Yamaha Motor had posted a sale of 19,508 units during August, a growth of 63 per cent over 11,974 units during August 2008.
